Will Sky Window® fit my binoculars ?
We have designed Sky Window® to fit binoculars with a 1/4-20 standard tripod port. See our Fit my binoculars page for more information.

Can I use Sky Window® with my Tripod ?
Yes, our heavy duty adapter has multiple 1/4-20 standard holes for adjusting the balance for different binocular sizes. It comes standard with your Sky Window® mount.

How good is the mirror ?
The mirror is sufficiently flat and of good quality to provide images up to 20 power without degradation.

Will the image be upside down ?
As with most astronomical instruments the image will be inverted and appear upside down. This is normal for astronomy.

What is Sky Window's viewing range ?
Sky Window's mirror can be adjusted 45 degrees. This will provide you with your binocular's full field of view from horizon to zenith simply by adjusting the mirror angle. You will not have to tilt the instrument itself in any way.

What's this I hear about finding satellites with Sky Window® ?
It is much easier to detect motion when the image is stable. We were simply astounded by the short period of time it took observers to detect a satellite whizzing by. If you are a satellite or micro-meteor enthusiast, Sky Window® is for you !

I'm a beginner. Why Sky Window® instead of a Telescope ?
Many objects are simply better in binoculars. Comets and open star clusters show their full glory in low powers and wide fields. Cheap telescopes can be hard for beginners to set up and use. Many beginners make the mistake of buying telescopes that offer high power with little light gathering aperture. This results in poor image quality, dim image brightness, and a very narrow field of view. Seasoned astronomers will tell you to learn the sky with binoculars and then look for a good telescope. Most serious amateurs have both.
