Example 1.
Distance "D" on a pair of 15 x 70 binoculars measures 6.25 inches. To determine the length of the spacer needed, subtract 4.75 from that value. 6.25-4.75 = 1.5 Order part number SKWE-150
Example 2.
Distance "D" on a pair of 10 x 70 binoculars measures 6-3/8 inches. To determine the length of the spacer needed, subtract 4.75 from that value. 6.375-4.75 = 1.625. Since that value is between 1.50 and 1.75, order the longer spacer. SKWE-175
Will My Binoculars Fit Sky Window?
Most 60mm binoculars and under will fit Sky Window with no special adapters provided they have the standard 1/4-20 standard tripod port on the binocular focus spindle.
If you have 70 or 80 mm binoculars with the standard port you may need an extender described below. We also have an adapter for Celestron 20x80, Canon 30 mm IS, and Canon 50 mm IS at this time. Custom fits are also available. Contact our customer service at 216-662-4194.

WILL I NEED AN EXTENDER ?
You will need an extender for your binoculars only if the distance from the tripod adapter port, ( located on the center focus spindle), to the very front of the objective lenses is greater than 4.75 inches. ( Distance "D" on the diagram above.)
The extender increases the distance from Sky Window’s mirror to the binoculars to prevent interference. They are made from sold brass with a stainless steel threaded stud on one side and a tapped hole on the other. simply screw the stud end into your binoculars and attach to sky window with the other end.
To determine the length of the extender needed, measure distance "D" on your binoculars and subtract 4.75 inches. This will determine the length of the spacer needed. Order the part number that equals that distance from the table below. If the length of your needed spacer is between two of the standard values, use the next size up.
