This is the software I use to produce my cartoons. All the software on this page is easy to use, wonderfully versatile and very affordable. But don’t let the low price fool you. These programs are incredibly powerful! Below is a description of each piece of software and how I use it. Please be sure your Internet connection is up and running. Once connected, links to these software web sites will become active (and then display in your browser) so you can visit and get additional information and even purchase if you’d like.

Please Note: This software is only compatible with Windows PCs. As of this writing, Mac versions are not available.

Page Plus 8 PDF Edition by Serif. This an amazing Desktop Publishing program. It’s full featured and very easy to learn. It can create newsletters, flyers, business cards, pamphlets, you name it. I use it to create all my comic strip and comic panel templates. (You can get those on the template pages.) I also use it to create newsletters and other materials to that help promote my cartoon art (Business cards, flyers, comic strip reprints, etc.) Desktop publishing programs like PageMaker and Quark cost upwards of $800.00. PagePlus 8 PDF Edition costs much less and does everything those programs do and even more! I highly recommend this program! Check out the PagePlus 8PDF template

PhotoPlus 8 by Serif. This graphics editor is so packed with features, I can’t fit them all on this page! PhotoPlus 8 works and feels just like PhotoShop! In fact, it’s easier to learn and use than PhotoShop and gives you as good a final result. I use PhotoPlus 8 to add color to all my comic art and for digital editing of my comic strip and comic panels. It’s a terrific photo editing program and again, you won’t believe the price! Why pay $600.00 for PhotoShop when you can get PhotoPlus 8 at a fraction of the price? I LOVE this program and I keep discovering new features every day! PhotoPus 8 also supports pressure sensitive digital tablets! And you can get PhotoPlus files I created on the the templates page.

DrawPlus 7 by Serif. This is a vector based drawing program. Working with vectors is very different from working in a graphics application like PhotoPlus (which is pixel based). I use DrawPlus 7 mainly for creating difficult or ornate objects that would take too much time by pencil or pen. DrawPlus is easy to use and has lots of helpful wizards and presets to get you up and running fast! Many of the graphic objects on this disk were created in DrawPlus 7. I’ve included a few Drawplus 7 templates.

WebPlus 8 by Serif. I’ve used many web building programs over the years. Webplus 8 is, by far, the easiest web building program I’ve ever used! Absolutely no programming is needed to design and build spectacular web sites! And the really neat thing is the interface is familiar. It looks and feels just like PagePlus 8! Simply use the wizards to guide you through the process and in no time you’ll have a website online. Or, you can use all the design tools and really whip up something a bit more distinct and suited to your personality. Need proof? Well, you’re looking at an entire website built with Webplus 8 and published to disk! And I’m giving you the master pages template for this web site!

A new version of PagePlus is available. PagePlus 9 does everything PagePlus 8 does and more. And PP9 contains the same web building features as WebPlus 8.
